It has been one of the greatest honours of my life to serve the residents of the Town of The Blue Mountains. Over the past two terms, I have worked to listen carefully, represent residents with integrity and independence, and advocate for greater accountability and transparency at Town Hall.
As I seek your support for a third term, I remain committed to protecting what makes our community special while helping build a strong and sustainable future.
Meet Paula
I am running for a third term because there is important work still to be done.
Residents have told me they want responsible financial management, a responsive Town Hall, protection of our community character, culture and heritage, housing solutions, environmental stewardship, and support for local businesses.
I believe my experience, commitment, and willingness to listen will help move these priorities forward.
Paula's Priorities
1. ACCOUNTABILITY AND FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT
Residents deserve confidence that their tax dollars are being managed responsibly. I will continue advocating for strong financial oversight, transparency, and long-term fiscal sustainability.
2. A RESPONSIVE TOWN HALL
Residents deserve efficient, effective, and responsive municipal services. I support a culture of customer service, timely communication, and practical problem-solving.
3. PRESERVING COMMUNITY CHARACTER
Growth must respect the unique identity, history, and character of our diverse communities. We can grow thoughtfully without losing what makes The Blue Mountains special.
4. HOUSING FOR THE WORKFORCE AND THE MISSING MIDDLE
Workers, families, seniors, and young professionals need practical housing options. A healthy community requires housing solutions that support people at every stage of life.
5. HERITAGE, ARTS AND CULTURE
Our history and cultural assets help define who we are. I support preserving our heritage while celebrating the arts, culture, and traditions that enrich community life.
6. PROTECTING WATER AND THE ENVIRONMENT
Safe drinking water and a healthy natural environment are essential. I believe environmental risks must be carefully evaluated and that protection of our ecosystem must remain a top priority.
7. SUPPORTING BUSINESS AND JOB CREATION
Local businesses are vital to our economy. I support initiatives that encourage entrepreneurship, create employment opportunities, and establish employment lands for workshops, trades, and small businesses.
8. PROVIDING MUNICIPAL PHYSICIAN RECRUITMENT PROGRAMS
An unacceptable number of TBM citizens do not have access to local physician support. Municipal governments have been asked to step up and address this gap. I am happy to support all programs that help to address this challenge.

Paula’s Accomplishments on Council 2022-2026
- Made thoughtful, evidence-based, data-driven decisions while listening to and representing the interests of all members of the community, while attending 90% of the meetings in-person in the Town Council Chambers.
- Served as Council Liaison and Chair for Planning and Building Services throughout the entire term.
- Acted as Alternate Chair of Council when the Mayor and Deputy Mayor were unavailable, a role earned through receiving the highest level of voter support in the 2022 election.
- Ensured strong public engagement in planning matters, including the development of the Town’s Official Plan as well as the Corporate Strategic Plan.
- Helped maintain the three-storey height limit in the Official Plan to protect the small-town character of The Blue Mountains.
- Successfully opposed efforts to move planning and building services from The Blue Mountains to a centralized County model.
- Served as an active member of the Accountability and Transparency Committee, helping to strengthen openness and accountability at Town Hall.
- Introduced motions that led to the creation of both the Accountability and Transparency Committee and the Municipal Accommodation Tax initiative.
- Provided strong leadership in the Town’s opposition to the proposed Meaford Pumped Storage Project, advocating for the protection of local drinking water. Served as Alternate Delegate representing The Blue Mountains on Grey County Council matters.
- Continued professional development through planning courses, AMO and ROMA conference attendance, as well as the Grey County Warden’s Economic Development sessions.

Serving on Council has never been about politics for me. It has always been about people.
I have been deeply involved in our community for many years. I have served local organizations, volunteered in community initiatives, and had the privilege of representing residents as a member of Council for the last 6 years.
I believe local government works best when residents are heard, information is shared openly, and decisions are made with accountability and transparency.
My goal has always been simple: to represent residents with integrity, independence, and respect.
Paula is a current 2-term TBM councillor, business owner, and Amazon # 1 best-selling author of two business books on referral marketing, a certified coach and trainer, and a former International sales and marketing executive with a lifelong passion for community leadership, history, and the arts. Paula is a natural leader who will always listen, ask and answer the tough questions, find common ground when it is possible and stand her ground when she must. Paula has been honoured and pleased to serve as your Councillor for the last six years, doing her part to protect that which is so special in TBM while planning carefully for its future. Paula is seeking your support for a third term in a role she continues to enjoy very much.
